For a long time PS3 gamers would say "why make features separate when it can come with the console". Now they say "why release features we don't use, why not leave it separate".

Review scores have been very favorable for this game. Graphics have been rated 10/10 by reviewers. Its online multiplayer will surpass Halo 3 and COD 4. Its console FPS gameplay has been rated top notch.
No reason for it not to receive GotY...for a game to get GotY this gen it should have excellent and well received online multiplayer.

If Sony quit then Nintendo wouldn't feel the pressure to do something in HD and Microsoft would drop the Elite (and probably even the HDD) in favor of competing with the Wii with their Arcade console.
There's no sex scenes, but there was a naked Keanu being dumped out of the waste tunnel early on. Plus the disturbing scenes of machines harvesting humans (and that scary "wired baby" scene). Hardly any cursing, mostly a "holy sh*t" here and there. And then of course there's the anti-establishment undertone (agents looking like IRS auditors).
An interesting observation but assassination, politics, and religion are subjects better left to "mature" gamers. MA doesn't just mean sex, language and violence.
Well we buy the console because we like what it has to offer, with or without those optional accessories. I smell hypocrisy though when PS3 fans say that Xbox 360 is too expensive when I do remember PS3 launching at $600 and no HDMI cable was included. No headset either.
But both sides have to admit that this gen was pricey. From optional accessories to DLC to subscription fees, this gen was PRICEY. But if you have the cash to spare and it's been a good year for you then you don'...

edit: Uncharted 2's intro isn't the best though. I'll take it as your personal opinion, just like how I listed a few in my below comment.
DMC 4, Lost Planet, and GTA IV had really great intros. I think DMC 4 had the best intro yet, great music and great cinematography. Lost Planet grips you right from the intro and has great motion capture and voice acting. GTA IV really made me feel like this was a new GTA, it really puts you at the bottom of the food chain by starting you off as an immigrant with only his cousin to look out for him.
GotY 2009 for sure, easily beat Halo 3 ODST and Uncharted 2.

When you guys can put in the work that VG Chartz does and be able to track console and software sales like they do then I'd think you'd deserve a paycheck for it.

I think you're right that a lot of people here don't understand the basics of computer hardware, but you're also leaving out the fact that it's just specs until someone starts messing with it. We all know that nothing changes the specs, yet they're not all-encompassing. The specs just tell you where you're at...they're not going to limit where you can go, only Y...
